HUMBOLDT — A Humboldt resident won $100,000 from a Western Max ticket.

Marlene Haeusler, who had bought her ticket from the Shoppers Drug Mart, discovered her win when she called her daughter to ask for the June 22 draw numbers.

She started matching the numbers on her ticket and realized she had six out of seven numbers, as well as the bonus, for a $100,000 win – not that she realized that at the time.

Thinking she had won at least $1,000, Haeusler told Sask Lotteries she was very excited and called her daughter.

“I think you just won $100,000!” explained her daughter.

“Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god,” was all Haeusler could think to say. “I was in complete shock!”

Haeusler won her $100,000 prize by matching six of the seven numbers of the June 22 draw – 5, 22, 26, 33, 36, 37, and 49, as well as the bonus number: 15.
