Discovery Co-op says when Battlefords Big Brothers Big Sisters put the call on Facebook to Ignite a Sparkle into the community, they couldn’t resist! The Discovery Co-op Kids Club Christmas elves quickly went to work putting together 25 Co-op Christmas bags for families in the community. The partnership with Discovery Co-op and Big Brothers Big Sisters warmed the hearts of many on a frosty Wednesday morning, as Santa made a special appearance along with friends from the RCMP to escort them around. Ignite a Sparkle is a fundraising campaign initiated by the Battlefords Big Brothers Big Sisters as COVID-19 restrictions have placed pressure on the group's usual funding sources.
