Between 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14 and 6 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, North Battleford RCMP received approximately 100 calls for service.
Friday, Aug. 14
• Officers attended a residence on St. Laurent Drive after there was a complaint of intoxicated people that were fighting at 7:50 a.m. Two male and two female adults were arrested and held in cells until they were sober to prevent further issues. One of the men was charged with obstructing a peace officer, as he gave officers a fake name and resisted arrest. He was also charged with failing to comply with an undertaking, as he had conditions to abstain from alcohol and not to have contact with one of the women that he had been arrested with.
• There were vehicles broken into on the 1000 block of 110th Street overnight.
• Someone reported a possible impaired driver on Highway 16, east of North Battleford, at 2:24 p.m. Officers located the vehicle and the driver, a 45-year-old man, was found to be intoxicated. He was charged with impaired driving and was released from custody to appear in court at a later date.
• There was a collision involving two vehicles at 5:40 p.m. at the intersection of 95th Street and Territorial Drive. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene and no one was injured in the collision.
• There was a theft reported from a business on Carlton Trail around 8 p.m.
• Officers and WPD Ambulance assisted the North Battleford Fire Department at a house fire on the 800 block of 111th Street at 8:15 p.m. A resident in the home sustained minor injuries and was able to put the fire out before emergency services arrived. The fire was determined to be accidental.
• There was a report of a break and enter to a shed on the 1400 block of 99th Street at 9:35 p.m.
• At 10:02 p.m. there was a report of a stabbing that had just occurred. There were three people involved in the incident, and one male youth was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and two counts of assault with a weapon. One male youth was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
• An SUV was reported stolen from the 1300 block of 108th Street that had been stolen sometime during the day. The vehicle had not yet been recovered. It is a black 2008 Ford Edge with license plate 513 ISQ.
• Officers did a curfew check on an 18-year-old woman at 10:19 p.m. and she was not at home. The woman was located shortly thereafter and was arrested for breaching the conditions of her undertaking. She was held in custody for court the following morning.
Saturday, Aug. 15
• There was a fight reported on the 1700 block of 100th Street around 12:30 p.m. and when officers arrived, the involved parties had already left the area.
• Someone reported that they had been assaulted at a business on 101st Street at 1:08 a.m. and when officers tried to talk with him about it, he was uncooperative and wouldn’t tell them what had happened.
• There was a report of a disturbance at a campground at 2:49 a.m. Five adults were found to be the cause of the complaint, as they were intoxicated and being loud. They were arrested and lodged in cells until they were sober to prevent further issues.
• Someone made a complaint that their vehicle had been stolen at 4:20 a.m. by a person that they knew. The caller gave an update soon afterward that her vehicle had been returned and they did not want to pursue charges.
In addition, there were 11 people arrested for alcohol related offences, 22 disturbances reported, seven traffic complaints, one minor collision, two nuisance 911 calls, four false alarms, and two people reported missing that have already been located.
