Battleford RCMP responded to 50 calls for service between 6 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12.
Tuesday, Oct. 11
9:48 a.m. - Complaint of theft of motor vehicle that had been left running unattended to warm up. Vehicle was located later in the day near Glaslyn.
11:49 a.m. - Complaint of suspected child abuse. Investigation ongoing in conjunction with child welfare agency.
5:40 p.m. - Complaint of breach of no contact order from previous family violence investigation. Subject had departed and investigation is ongoing.
7:27 p.m. - Complaint of head on collision on Highway 4 south of the Battlefords. On police attendance, one of the drivers was found to be impaired by alcohol. Charges are pending against a 39-year-old North Battleford woman.
7:49 p.m. - Complaint of historical sexual child abuse. Investigation is ongoing.
9:00 p.m. - Complaint of theft of motor vehicle with keys left in it. It was one of the vehicles involved in the earlier impaired driving collision. Charges pending against the same 39-year-old North Battleford woman driving at the time of the accident.
10:27 p.m. - Report of male subject covered in blood standing on the 1400 block of 104th Street in North Battleford. Police attended and located the male who refused to tell police what happened and subsequently refused medical treatment from EMS.
10:52 p.m. - Report of a missing 16-year-old girl received. Later reported to have returned home on her own.
Wednesday, Oct. 12
12:31 a.m. - Complaint of domestic assault on Moosomin First Nation. Investigation ongoing.
12:53 a.m. - Complaint of uttering threats while complainant was walking on the 1400 block of 101st Street. Investigation ongoing.
1:48 a.m. - Complaint of theft of motor vehicle from 1000 block of 109th Street in North Battleford. Investigation ongoing.
05:10 a.m. - Complaint of missing 16-year-old girl. It was the same girl reported missing and returned the previous evening.
Police also responded to one false/nuisance 911 call, seven minor disturbance reports, two false alarms, three suspicious persons complaints, seven traffic investigations, one minor property damage complaint, two subjects who were arrested for alcohol related offences, two breach of conditions and seven minor theft or shoplifting complaints.
