Impaired driving charges laid

A 22-year-old man from Saskatoon is facing impaired driving charges and other charges after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 13th Avenue and 103rd Street in North Battleford. Police say the crash occurred Saturday at about 5:38 p.m.

A 22-year-old man from Saskatoon is facing impaired driving charges and other charges after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 13th Avenue and 103rd Street in North Battleford.

Police say the crash occurred Saturday at about 5:38 p.m. and a man and a woman were transported to hospital. According to the RCMP the extent of their injuries is unknown but those injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

The man facing charges, originally from North Battleford according to police, is charged with refusal to provide a breath sample causing bodily harm and two counts of impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm. Traffic safety charges faced are driving left of a solid centre line and failure to comply with a licence endorsement or restriction.

He was released from custody and is to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court Jan. 6.

RCMP also responded to a report of a stabbing Sunday at about 3:50 a.m. Police say there was no evidence of a stabbing when they arrived in the 1400 block of 104th Street. Police say the two male occupants of the residence did not co-operate with the police investigation and did not have any injuries.
