RCMP in Blaine Lake have arrested a 19-year-old woman who travelled at excessive speeds in the RM of Douglas.
Around 6:20 a.m. Saturday, RCMP were patrolling Highway 40 in the RM of Douglas when they clocked a vehicle traveling 176 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.
The driver was stopped and arrested and taken back to Blaine Lake detachment as part of the investigation.
The woman, from Witchekan Lake First Nation, was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, operation of a motor vehicle with blood alcohol level exceeding .08, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and some provincial offences.
She was released from custody and will appear in court Aug. 1.
