North Battleford council approved last Monday tax exemptions to a business setting up in Parsons Industrial Park, provided they create 20 new jobs there over the next 24 months.
Edgewest Design and Production Inc. will receive the tax exemptions for the property at 101 Canola Ave.
That location had previously housed MIFAB Manufacturing, Inc. The property had been up for sale this year.
The exemption amounts to 100 per cent in the first year, 75 per cent in the second, 50 per cent in the third and 25 per cent in the fourth.
The taxation exemptions start Jan. 1 and are conditional on the business achieving 20 fulltime equivalent jobs in the first 24 months.
The resolution approving the tax exemptions was carried unanimously.
