Information sought in 2007 murder

RCMP Major Crime North is once again asking for information relating to a three-year-old unsolved murder case. Jeanette Chief, 48, of the Onion Lake First Nation whowas last seen in Lloydminster June 2, 2007.

RCMP Major Crime North is once again asking for information relating to a three-year-old unsolved murder case.

Jeanette Chief, 48, of the Onion Lake First Nation whowas last seen in Lloydminster June 2, 2007. Her body was locatedabout 16 kilometres north of Lloydminster on the morning of Wednesday June 6, 2007. An autopsyindicated foul play was involved in her death.

RCMP Major CrimeNorthis continuing their investigation and are seeking assistance from the public. Anyone whohad contact with Jeanette Chiefor saw her on or after June 2, 2007 is asked to contact police to assistin determining her activities and movements leading up to her death.

"Don't assume if you have information that someone else has passed it on to police," says Sgt Doug Coleman, F Division Crime Stoppers police co-ordinator.
