The North Battleford RCMP received less than 40 calls for service between 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8 and 6 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9.
There were four traffic complaints, one false alarm, four municipal bylaw or noise complaints, two false or nuisance 911 calls and one occurrence related to child welfare amongst the calls for service.
Friday
8:02 a.m. - Report of items stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
8:10 a.m. - Report of a break in to a garage and several vehicles during the previous night. Investigation ongoing.
11:04 a.m. - Report of shoplifting from a business. Youth arrested and later released with date to appear in court on theft charges.
12:35 p.m. - Report of a theft of fuel from a local gas station. Investigation ongoing.
2:26 p.m. - Report of two intoxicated men in a city park. They were arrested/charged for public intoxication. Held in custody until sober.
2:40 p.m. - Report of two stolen bikes from the backyard of a residence. Investigation ongoing.
2:55 p.m. - Report of a stolen truck. Happened sometime over the previous several weeks. Investigation ongoing.
4:19 p.m. - Report of an individual sleeping outside near a business. A man was arrested for public intoxication. Held in custody until sober.
5:52 p.m. - Report of three individuals causing a disturbance in back alley. One man was arrested for public intoxication and held in custody until sober.
6:34 p.m. - Report of an intoxicated person in front of a business. A man was arrested for public intoxication. Held in custody until sober.
7:45 p.m. - Report of a missing youth. Located a short time later and returned to family.
9:53 p.m. - Report of a man causing problems at a residence. Investigation resulted in a man being arrested and charged with failing to comply with probation conditions.
9:59 p.m. - Report of a vehicle hitting a post then leaving the scene. Members located and stopped the vehicle a few blocks away. Investigation resulted in the male driver being arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. Subject was held until sober and released pending future court appearance.
10:41 p.m. - Report of a break in to a residence sometime during the afternoon. Nothing taken. Investigation ongoing.
11:24 p.m. - Report of an intoxicated person behind a local business. A woman was arrested/charged for public intoxication. Held in custody until sober then released.
11:27 p.m. - Report of a possible impaired driver. Patrols made for the suspect vehicle, but not located.
11:58 p.m. - While conducting patrols, members conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle. Driver found to not have a licence and vehicle was not registered. Driver charged accordingly and vehicle towed/impounded.
Saturday
1:56 a.m. - Report of two missing youths. Both were located about 12 hours later safe and sound.
2:23 a.m. - Report of mischief at a residence. Suspects identified and investigation ongoing.
3:07 a.m. - Report of mischief at a residence. Investigation ongoing.
