The Flat Lake, Alta. singer will be entertaining for the third year running at a Speckle Park Cattle Association Christmas fundraiser.

The third annual Country Christmas with Brett Kissel will be held Friday. Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Neilburg Community Hall. Prior to the entertainment on both evenings, a meal of Speckle Park beef will be served.

In his 2012 year end roundup, Kissel wrote, "I love Neilburg and the Speckle Park Cattle Association. Love them."

The 23-year-old singer/songwriter has released two independent albums, played sold out shows and earned two Canadian Country Music Association Award nominations, becoming its youngest nominee ever. Kissel released his major label debut album through Warner Music Canada, Started With A Song, Oct. 1.

Kissel will join Nashville super-group Big and Rich on Saturday, Nov. 23 at the 101st Grey Cup in Regina.

His involvement with the Country Christmas in Neilburg has resulted in a friendship with Neilburg's own John and Dale Herbert, organizers of the annual Country Christmas Dinner and Dance.

From a news release by the Canadian Speckle Park Association: "After meeting John and Dale a few years ago, I knew I wanted to perform at their little Christmas show.Interestingly enough, their idea for a little concert quickly turned into a giant event that has sold out two show every single year," commented Kissel.

With a busy touring year already set for 2014, the Saskatchewan Speckle Park Cattle Association's annual Christmas concert is a 'home-coming' for Kissel in many ways.

"Not only do I love the Speckle Park breed, but I love coming out and playing smaller communities. I find that they often have bigger hearts in smaller communities," said Kissel. "Performing an old fashioned country dance is also something I rarely get to do anymore."

If you want to party with Kissel and celebrate the holiday season, then get your tickets to this one-of-a-kind dinner, concert, and dance!
