Add the Kiwanis Music Festival to the long list of events cancelled due to COVID-19.
The event was scheduled for March 24-April 5. The news comes on the heels of the Saskatchewan Music Festival Association advising all district festivals to cancel all of their events. The local committee has agreed with the recommendation.
"We are hoping that this proactive response to the spread of COVID-19 will help all of us get through this difficult time more quickly, and with less people getting ill," said the Kiwanis Music Festival Committee in a statement.
Due to the uncertainty of timelines, rescheduling of festivals will not be possible.
Also, the SMFA has cancelled the 2020 Provincial Finals.
