The Krydor Parks and Recreational Board held its final Krydor Village Craft and Trade Show for the season, Aug. 20. The weather was beautiful for visitors to enjoy their pancake breakfast outdoors while entertained by musician Ed Bajak playing instrumental selections on his guitar.

Vendors represented a variety of sectors. Marvin Ebach of Hepburn displayed his extensive coin collection consisting of coin and paper money in a variety of denominations. Local Blaine Lake author Weldon Parsons and his wife, Elaine, displayed a selection of books in print and some knitted items.

Shelley Clark is an independent Gold Canyon distributor and had on offer a large variety of candles and air freshening products. Ewald and Rita Schenker offered Watkins products and a selection of baked goods. Cora Putz had a table displaying the most recent Tupperware items and Lisa Nelson of Meadow Treasures had an intriguing display of beaded spiders complete with the Christmas story. These creations are available in over a dozen colors and consist of 50-70 beads each and have been used in an episode of Ghost Whisperer. This booth also had a variety of handmade aprons in a variety of styles and colors. Bunny Combres brought in a truckload of quality Canadian-made work wear including insulated jackets, coveralls and over-alls.

Food items and beverages were available from the concession throughout the day.

The Krydor Market was a social hub on scheduled Saturdays throughout the summer providing an opportunity for vendors, locals and visitors to share their wares.

The event's success was based on community volunteers led by Sheryle Powley. Discussions will be held throughout the winter to determine if the volunteer base is strong enough to handle the project in 2012.
