North Battleford RCMP responded to approximately 60 calls for service between 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7 and 6 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8

Friday

• There was a reported theft of lawn ornaments that occurred during the previous night on Abbott Avenue.

• At 10:24 a.m. officers responded to a family dispute at a residence on St. Laurent Drive. The dispute appeared to have been verbal and not physical, and both parties were separated to prevent any further issues.

• Officers responded to a minor collision involving two vehicles in Battleford around 5:15 p.m. No one was injured in the collision.

• Someone reported at 5:24 p.m. that their car had been taken by an acquaintance without consent. The car was located and returned to the owner without incident.

• A break and enter was reported on the 800 block of 110th Street around 8 p.m. The resident came home and found damage to the door and found damaged property inside the home. The incident is still being investigated.

• There was a complaint made at 8:30 p.m. that a vehicle had been broken into on the 1800 block of 101st Street and items had been taken from it.

• Officers located people fighting on Trudeau Street after a call made at 9:40 p.m. No one was injured in the fight, which appeared to be consensual. One woman who was involved in the altercation was found to be on a recognizance with curfew conditions, which she was in violation of. She was arrested and charged accordingly and was held in custody for court Monday morning.

• Charges are being laid after officers made a curfew check for a male youth who was on an undertaking with curfew conditions. The youth was not at home during the specified hours.

• Officers assisted in keeping the peace just before midnight between two individuals who were having difficulties being civil returning property after ending their relationship.

Saturday

• There was a complaint of a stolen truck from a residence on Red Pheasant First nation at 12:48 a.m. The truck was located on 104th Street in North Battleford and four youth and one adult were arrested. Charges in relation to the incident include theft of truck, operation of motor vehicle while being pursued by police, breaking and entering, theft  and mischief.

• Officers responded to a noise complaint on the 1600 block of 91st Street around 2 a.m. and gave a warning to the people having a loud party.

• There was a report from someone that there was a stranger in her back yard at 5 a.m. and the caller realized it was a friend and no longer required police assistance.

Officers also responded to 13 minor disturbances, seven traffic complaints, arrested one individual for an alcohol related offence, two nuisance 911 calls and two false alarms.
