If you've ever wished you – or your kids – knew how to do some of those old time dances like the barn dance and the schottische, the Western Development Museum is the place to be this weekend.
Friday, the museum is hosting a Barn Dance. It's a family event with music being provided by Leon Ochs and Friends. Ochs is a popular musician from Landis who has been playing across Saskatchewan for decades.
If you are a fan of old time dances, you'll be able to take to the floor from 7 to 11 p.m. If you don't know how to dance, don't worry. Directions for old time dance steps will be offered. The museum has brought in some volunteers to make sure everybody has a chance to learn something new.
The food concession will be open all night, and, being a family event, non-alcoholic beverages will be available.
Tickets are $10 in advance, or $15 at the door.
