Only eight cards remain as Aug. 17 draw date approaches.

LLOYDMINSTER – The Lloydminster Agricultural Exhibition Association’s (LAEA) chase the ace jackpot is closing in on $1,000,000. Since starting the raffle last October, and choosing a new winner each Wednesday, only eight cards remain in the deck, and they’re drawing the next winner Aug. 17.

The chase the ace raffle is part of an ongoing fundraising project for the Lloyd Ex. Funds from this raffle will help the organization continue to make facility upgrades, purchase land and meet their goals to provide top notch events and facilities to Lloydminster and the surrounding communities.

Weekly winners have captured more than $485,000 in total winnings so far and the winner of the Aug. 10 draw, Sandra Palik, won $66,679. Had she pulled the ace of hearts from the deck, she would have walked away with $820,000 with the combined weekly and main jackpots.

LAEA expects the upcoming amount to reach $1,000,000 by the next draw Aug. 17, especially since the draw day is the opening day of the Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association finals hosted by the Lloydminster Exhibition Association.

Any resident of Saskatchewan over the age of 19 can purchase tickets online, as well as anyone with a Lloydminster address. Residents from any other province may purchase tickets in person at the Lloydminster Exhibition Association office. Tickets and information are available online at lloydex.com. Tickets are 1 for $10, three for $25, eight for $50 or 20 for $100.

Each draw is broadcast live on the “Lloyd Ex Chase the Ace” Facebook page each Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. With only only cards left to choose from, someone will win a life changing amount of money once the ace is found.
