The passage of three local improvement bylaws highlighted what was a light night at council Monday, with the brief agenda completed in a 30-minute meeting.

Included in the 2014 budget is pavement overlay on 19th Avenue from Walker Drive to Territorial Drive, which Public Works Director Stewart Schafer said should be the final bit of work on that street; subgrade, subbase, base and pavement on Pearson Avenue from 110th Street to St. Laurent Drive, which Schafer said they will be going in and "rebuilding that whole street;" and subgrade, subbase, base, curb and gutter, sidewalk and pavement on 100th Street from 20th Avenue to Territorial Drive access.

The city and property owners will share the cost of work; there is no word yet on when these will begin.

A resolution to prepare local improvement reports was required to allow the city engineer to prepare the reports, and that resolution passed unanimously.
