A 19-year-old local boy was killed the morning of April 23 in a freak vehicle accident near Burr, Sask.

Clayton Stushnoff, of Muenster, was travelling westward on a grid road when the bucket on the front-end loader he was driving dropped and came in contact with the road. Pulling the loader forward, Stushnoff was ejected from the tractor through the side door. Other eyewitness reports claim he was then run over by the moving tractor, although that has not been confirmed by investigators.

A passing motorist came across the scene and called 911; Humboldt emergency services personnel responded to the call and after arriving, declared Stushnoff dead at the scene.

The incident is not considered suspicious or criminal in nature but due to the accident happening in Stushnoff's work vehicle, the investigation has been turned over to the Occupational Health and Safety branch of the government.

Stushnoff was an employee of Big Sky Farms and was on his way to the job site when the fatal accident occurred.
