These negatives were found a long way from home in British Columbia. Since one of the black and white negatives shows the Scentgrass grain elevator, it is believed the family in the photographs lived in the area.

Do these photographs look familiar?

The search is on for the owner of these black and white negatives, including wedding, baby and farm photographs.

The negatives were found in Langley, B.C. a couple of years ago.

Diana Den Haan, who resides in Surrey, found the lost memories in the sleeve of a Reader's Digest condensed book she purchased at a hospital auxiliary thrift sale.

"The book is long gone, but I recently 'refound' the negatives and would like to return them to the family," she said.

Den Haan contacted the News-Optimist when she noticed one of the photographs depicted Saskatchewan Pool grain elevator No. 1047, Scentgrass.

When she searched for Scentgrass on the Internet, she saw North Battleford was the nearest city.

"It would be super to find the owner and to hear the story of the journey from there to here," said Den Haan.
