Between July 28 and 29, the Maidstone RCMP responded to 52 requests for service. Of those, nine of those were related to break and enters and theft of vehicles.
The Maidstone RCMP request the public’s assistance in locating the following stolen vehicles:
• 1984 White Toyota Pickup - No Plate - Stolen July 28 from near Waseca. Farm vehicle.
• 2004 Brown Ford F350 – Sask. plate 624EGS - Stolen July 28 near Hillmond. Farm vehicle with several dents and wear.
• 2002 Dark Blue Dodge 2500 – Sask. plate 214FRS - Stolen July 28 near Alcruve, Alta. Paving truck unit with red tool box, welding torches and tools.
• 2004 White GMC Sierra 2500 – Alberta plate BTD9077 - Stolen July 28 near Lloydminster.
• 2013 Red Chrysler 200 – Sask. plate 076KHP - Stolen from near Lloydminster.
Over the same time period, the Maidstone RCMP recovered two stolen trucks from the Maidstone area that had been stolen overnight. A female has been arrested and charged in relation to this.
Since Jan. 1, Maidstone RCMP has responded to 62 reports of stolen vehicles.
“The importance of keeping keys and other valuables out of vehicles cannot be stressed enough. Most vehicles stolen in our area have had the keys left in them or easily accessible with the doors unlocked.” Said Cst. Ryan Reid, Enhanced Policing Unit - Britannia, Eldon and Paynton.
The Maidstone RCMP is working diligently with other RCMP Detachments as well as local crime prevention groups and asks that if the public sees anything suspicious to immediately report it directly to police. Where possible, please provide specific details including colour, direction of travel, description of the suspicious persons and license plates.
The attached photos are of a person of interest in a break and enter to a residence who has not yet been identified on July 30. A vehicle was stolen from another residence nearby on Range Road 3275 in the Rural Municipality of Britannia.
