The Battleford RCMP were involved in over 50 investigations from 6 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 9 to 6 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, including the following incidents:
Friday, December 9
-10:26 a.m. - A 55 year old male was arrested and is facing one count of Assaulting a Police Officer after engaging in a physical altercation during a vehicle stop on Highway 4 on the north edge of the city of North Battleford. The subject has been released with a scheduled court appearance in January.
-11:23 am - A storage shed on the 200 block of 28th Street in Battleford was broken into. Some items were moved around but nothing was reported missing.
-1:49 pm - Report of shoplifting from a business on 29th Street in Battleford. The accused has been identified and charges for Theft are currently pending.
-5:15 pm - A break and enter to a residence on the 1600 block of 102nd Street in North Battleford occured some time during the day. Some electronics were reported stolen.
-10:23 pm - A 39 year old male has been arrested and is facing charges of Break and Enter and Possession of Stolen Property after a report of a male breaking into a residence on Macdonnell Court in Battleford. The accused assaulted the home owner before fleeing the scene. He was located later in the evening and arrested without incident. The accused has been remanded into custody and will appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Monday, Dec. 12 at 9:30 a.m.
-10:48 pm - A 22 year old male is facing a charge of Failing to Comply with Undertaking after he was discovered to be residing with someone on the Sweetgrass First Nation that he was on conditions to have no contact with.
-11:22 pm - A 27 year old male was arrested and is facing charges of Care and Control of a Vehicle while Impaired and Care and Control of a Vehicle while over .08 after a vehicle check on Railway Avenue East in North Battleford.
Four people were arrested for alcohol/disturbance offences, police responded also to two false/nuisance 911 calls, 13 disturbance complaints, seven traffic matters, four minor collisions, four alarms, two Mental Health Act complaints, one Child Welfare complaint and one reported missing person who has already been located.
