Battlefords RCMP responded to approximately 35 new occurrences between 6 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26 and 6 a.m. Friday Jan. 27.
Thursday, Jan. 26
10:40 a.m. - Report of a hit and run in the Cochin area. Minor damage done to a vehicle that was parked.
1:07 p.m. - Report of a two-vehicle collision on Territorial Drive near the Frontier Centre. No injuries reported and minor damage to both vehicles.
1:36 p.m. - Report that all four tires were stolen off a vehicle parked on Railway Avenue. The theft occurred at around 3 a.m. the previous night. Matter still under investigation.
8:04 p.m. - Report of suspicious people trying to break into vehicles parked on the 800 block of 107th Street.
Friday Jan. 27 2017
12:29 a.m. - Report of a man who was assaulted and sustained minor injuries. The man was given medical attention and this matter is still under investigation.
12:53 a.m. - Report of an unwanted man at a residence on 102nd Sreet.
Police also arrested one person for alcohol/disturbance related offences, and responded to seven traffic matters, two disturbances, three minor collisions, one reported missing person who has since been located, and seven theft complaints.
