Man charged after fatal rollover

A North Battleford man has been charged after a fatal highway rollover on Highway 16 near Lloydminster. The driver of the vehicle, Milan Anic, was charged with impaired driving, impaired driving causing death and dangerous driving causing death.

The single vehicle rollover happened Sunday at around 3:30 a.m. The Lloydminster rural and Maidstone RCMP, along with Lloydminster EMS were called to the scene. Two males were inside the SUV when it rolled while travelling eastbound. One 19-year-old male was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

An RCMP Traffic Services Collision reconstruction has completed the initial analysis of the incident and further charges are still pending.

The road was closed to a single lane following the incident. It is not believed the weather or road conditions were a factor.
