Man charged with murder in child's death

A 38-year-old man has been charged with second degree murder in connection to the death of 13-month-old boy in Paradise Hill.

Nov. 1 at 4:35 p.m. St. Walburg RCMP responded to a 911 call from a Paradise Hill residence, 50 kilometres northeast of Lloydminster. Police found a 13-month-old boy there, unconscious and not breathing.

St. Walburg Emergency Medical Services transported the childto Lloydminster Hospital. He was then air lifted to the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon where he died Nov. 2.

An autopsy was performed Nov. 3, where the death was determined to be a homicide. The cause of death will not be released, according to RCMP. The name of the child has also not been released.

Davidson was arrested Saturday.

St. Walburg RCMP, along with RCMP Major Crime North, Battleford and Lloydminster RCMP Forensic Identification Sections continue their investigation.
