A 46-year-old man is dead after what RCMP describe as an altercation at Chitek Lake Hotel Saturday afternoon. Police have identified the dead man as Jones Thomas of Pelican Lake First Nation.
RCMP were called to the hotel at 1:30 p.m., where they say they found the man dead of unknown injuries.
Frederick Charles Harris, 38, also of Pelican Lake First Nation, has been charged with manslaughter and appeared in court Monday morning.
Spiritwood RCMP along with Saskatoon Major Crimes Unit and North Battleford Forensic Identification Section continue to investigate the death.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday.
