Man facing 14 charges in connection to break and enter, vehicle theft

RM OF USBORNE — A 43-year-old Drake man is facing 14 charges, including breaking and entering, theft of a motor vehicle and driving while impaired.

On June 16 at around 7 am, the Humboldt-Lanigan RCMP were dispatched to a report of a break enter and theft of a motor vehicle from a residence in the RM of Usborne.

RCMP said they were advised en route the stolen vehicle had rolled at a location southwest of Lanigan. RCMP attended the scene, located and took the man into custody.

The charges the man is facing are: two counts of breaking and entering with intent to commit an indictable offence, driving while disqualified, impaired operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle while impaired with a blood alcohol content of over .08 per cent, theft of a motor vehicle over $5,000, two counts of assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, two counts of uttering death threats, other theft over $5,000, and two counts of breach of probation.

The stolen vehicle, along with several pieces of stolen property, was recovered during this investigation.
