The Cut Knife RCMP are investigating a single vehicle roll over which occurred near the town site on the Poundmaker Cree Nation.
Initial investigation has revealed a dark-coloured truck rolled down an embankment.
One 33-year-old male passenger was pronounced deceased on scene and four other occupants (a 16-year-old female driver, an 18-year-old female passenger, a 34-year-old male passenger and a 27-year-old male passenger) have been transported to hospital by STARS and EMS with what were described as serious injuries. All individuals are from the Poundmaker Cree Nation. The matter is ongoing and charges are pending.
No traffic delays are expected in the area.
