An unconscious man was found at a residence on the 1000 block of 110th Street shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday.
RCMP responded after being advised by WPD Ambulance they were called to the scene in response to a man being assaulted.
The 26-year-old resident of the home was transported to Battlefords Union Hospital for treatment.
Police say at 7 a.m. Thursday the man remained unconscious and was scheduled for transport to a Saskatoon hospital for further treatment.
Because of his condition, RCMP have been unable to speak to the man. Several witnesses have been interviewed, police say, and the investigation is continuing.
