Battlefords RCMP were called to a residence on the Red Pheasant First Nation shortly after midnight Wednesday to investigate a report of a man suffering a stab wound.
Police say there was a report a man, described as wearing a black face mask and all black clothing, had assaulted a man at the residence before fleeing in a two-door black car.
Police say the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment. The matter remains under investigation.
