A man who escaped custody while appearing in Meadow Lake Provincial Court is seeking bail.
Christopher Gilbert Ernest, 23, escaped from the courthouse and fled on April 26. He was arrested in Edmonton on May 3 and brought back to Saskatchewan.
He is charged with resisting arrest, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, unauthorized possession of a weapon, assault with a weapon, failing to attend court, and escape from lawful custody.
Ernest had an appearance in Meadow Lake Provincial Court May 10 and his matter was adjourned to May 20 for a show cause hearing.
