Many crashes, one pedestrian injured

Battlefords RCMP attended to 30 calls for service between 6 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19 and 6 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20. Among those were two alarms, both false, and two false/nuisance 911 calls. Thursday 8:09 a.m.

Battlefords RCMP attended to 30 calls for service between 6 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19 and 6 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20.


Among those were two alarms, both false, and two false/nuisance 911 calls.


Thursday


8:09 a.m. - Two-vehicle collision at intersection of 109th Street and 6th Avenue. No injuries, both vehicles were towed from scene. Cause still under investigation.


8:38 a.m. - Two-vehicle collision on 98th Street. Some minor traffic disruptions. No injuries, both vehicles had to be towed from scene. No charges pursued.


11:46 a.m. - Two-vehicle collision on 105th Street and 11th Avenue. One vehicle had to be towed from scene. No injuries reported. 


12:45 p.m. - Vehicle parked on 800 block of 111th Street entered sometime overnight. Nothing missing and no damage to the vehicle reported. 


2:01 p.m. - 53-year-old man arrested for breach of probation on 98th Street. Has since been released for court date in New Year.


2:31 p.m. - Report of a vehicle clipping a pedestrian in the arm as it drove by on 17th Avenue. Complainant suffering from injury to an arm. Advised incident occurred at approximately 9:50 a.m. that morning.


2:55 p.m. - Hit and run to property on 1100 block of 105th Street. Sometime during the morning or early afternoon, an unknown vehicle appears to have struck a brick fence at a residence on the street. 


5:54 p.m. - A call to the police station advising there is a bag of water softener salt at the bottom of Don Ross Hill and complainant wanted members to remove it. To be fair the snow at the bottom of the hill was pretty hard. 


6:04 p.m. - 911 call of unwanted guest at a residence on 108th Street. 25-year-old man located on scene was arrested and had been charged with breach of an undertaking. Will appear in North Battleford Provincial court at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 20.


6:33 p.m. - Two-vehicle collision on Railway Avenue East. Minor injuries reported and one vehicle towed from scene. 


6:35 p.m. - Report of unwanted, intoxicated guest on 103rd Street. Subject left on his own when police called and not located. 


7:24 p.m. - 77-year-old man arrested for public intoxication after complaint of intoxicated man refusing to leave a business when asked to. Held in custody until sober.


10:32 p.m. - Hit and run to a vehicle parked on Railway Avenue. Suspect vehicle described as a large, "jacked up" Chev pickup, possibly black. Suspect vehicle should have front end damage. Complainant's vehicle suffered significant damage.


10:36 p.m. - Hit and run to a vehicle parked in a parking lot on Carlton Trail. Damage to driver's side brake light. No suspect vehicle information available.


11:07 p.m. - Loud arguing and yelling heard on street on 110th Street. Patrols to area negative.


Friday


1:36 a.m. - Unknown person knocking on a door to residence on 106th Street. Left unknown direction. Patrols of area were negative.


2:08 a.m. - Unknown person knocking on a door to residence on 103rd Street. No one located in area, and all patrols negative.


2:35 a.m. - Theft reported from business. Surveillance footage possibly available.


4:37 a.m. - Noise compliant on St. Laurent Drive. Warning under bylaw provided.
