MEADOW LAKE – Meadow Lake RCMP continues its war on gangs. As part of their ongoing gang suppression and violence reduction strategy, they raided a home on 3rd Avenue West April 19 and seized weapons, drugs and arrested two people.

“The search warrant was a result of surveillance and other investigative techniques by the members,” said S/Sgt. Ryan How.

Police say that during their investigation two suspects got into a car and fled from police before they were located again and arrested.

RCMP charged 21-year-old Kiera McKay and 29-year-old Brandon Campeau with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Campeau was additionally charged with flight from police.

At the home, police seized cocaine, imitation firearms, large knifes, and bear spray.

McKay and Campeau are both scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake court April 21.
