A man charged in connection to a drug bust in Medstead appeared in court last week.

Scott Anderson, 43, of Medstead was in court Thursday morning in North Battleford Provincial Court.

The matter was adjourned and Anderson was due to return Tuesday for a show cause hearing, with Anderson appearing by video at that hearing.

The Crown opposes his release and Anderson remains in custody pending the show-cause hearing.

He is charged with production of methamphetamine under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, as well as breach of an undertaking under the Criminal Code and other charges under the CDSA.

The RCMP, with assistance from Turtleford and Glaslyn detachments, prepared and executed a search warrant on a location on 2nd Avenue in Medstead,

There, items were seized in relation to methamphetamine production. A second search south of Medstead at a mobile home resulted in seizure of other items in relation to methamphetamine production.
