Emergency crews responded to two minor incidents Friday in North Battleford.

One was a motor vehicle collision at the corner of 100th Street and 16th Avenue. Two small passenger cars were involved. The incident took place around 11:45 a.m.

There were no injuries. North Battleford Fire responded with a pumper and three firefighters; also on the scene was WPD Ambulance and the RCMP.

Also that day at 9:35 a.m. a smoke detector activated on the 1100 block of 99th Street. As it turned out, there was no damage as it was a situation where a stovetop was left unattended.

Another unattended cooking pot drew firefighters to the 1100 block of 99th Street Monday at about 5:45 p.m. Smoke from the smoldering cooking project set off the alarm system. Firefighters used fans to ventilate the building and clear the smoke.
