The Regina Police Service received information from the RCMP after 9:00 a.m. May 30 regarding Shayne King, who is the subject of a recent missing persons news release.
RCMP informed Regina Police that the orange 2009 Dodge Caliber belonging to King was located on a grid road near Grenfell. King is still missing.
Shayne Robert William King, born Jan. 30, 1979, of Regina is described as Caucasian, approximately 5'7? tall, 180 lbs,light brown hair, buzz cut short,blue eyes, wears glasses and has partial upper dentures. He was last seen wearing dark blue pants, a grey T-shirt, and steel-toed work boots.King has tattoos, which include two skulls on his right shoulder.Other distinguishing features include a scar on the right side of this forehead and a lump on his forehead from a metal plate.
Search and rescue teams, under the direction of RCMP Broadview Detachment are conducting a ground and air search of the area.
King was reported missing to police on May 28.Information obtained was that King departed for Stoughton Tuesday, May 27 to visit a friend and left Stoughton at approximately 11:20 p.m. to head back to Regina. He has not been heard from since.
On May 30 at 9:00 a.m. the Broadview RCMP recovered Shayne King'ss vehicle near the Town of Grenfell.
The Regina Police Service, RCMP Search and Rescue Team, Regina Major Crimes Unit, Traffic Reconstruction Team, Regina Police Dog Section and Civil Air Search and Rescue Association conducted an air and ground search in the area surrounding where King's vehicle was recovered.
The results of these searcheswere negative and the Broadview RCMP arerequesting thepublic's assistance in locating Shayne KING.
