North Battleford RCMP responded to more than 70 calls for service/occurrences over a 48-hour period from 6 a.m. Monday, June 30 to 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 2.
Included were12 traffic complaints, six false alarms, seven municipal bylaw/noise complaints and one false/nuisance 911 call.
Monday
7:22 a.m. - Report of two vehicles parked on 1100 block of 109th Street gone through during the night.
7:58 a.m. - Vehicle driving on Douglas Avenue collided with a parked truck. Analysis of scene indicates vehicle was travelling at a high rate of speed. The 47-year-old driver of the vehicle was not injured. No charges have yet been laid, however several are pending.
11:06 a.m. - Report of a missing person from a care home. Subject located approximately an hour later in good health.
12:03 p.m. - Vehicle parked on 1000 block of 108th Street gone through overnight. Nothing reported missing, items inside thrown around.
1:53 p.m. - 51-year-old woman arrested for public intoxication, located sleeping on 101st Street.
2:10 p.m. - 44-year-old man arrested and charged for causing a disturbance on 101st Street after report of an intoxicated man urinating on the street.
4:46 p.m. - Suspicious man in Frontier Mall Parking lot banging on a vehicle window. Patrols for subject negative.
5:18 p.m. - 19-year-old man arrested and charged with assault, resisting arrest and breach of probation after report of a man assaulting a woman in a vehicle on Asquith Avenue. The victim and accused are currently involved in a relationship. The victim was several months pregnant at the time of the assault but was not injured. The man has been remanded in custody and will make his first appearance in court on Thursday.
8:11 p.m. - Complainant calling to report his vehicle stolen, had numerous different versions of the story, none of which made much sense. Appears to be in a disagreement with spouse.
8:15 p.m. - Report of individuals looking into window of a residence on 104th Street. Located two of the suspects a short distance away who were taken home and turned over to parents. No damage to property discovered.
8:58 p.m. - Noisy party complaint on 103rd Street, several intoxicated people yelling and drinking outside. 20-year-old woman and 23-year-old man arrested for causing a disturbance and the resident of home warned about the noise.
9:53 p.m. - Another noise complaint at same residence on 103rd Street, found to be one man at residence yelling and breaking things. 27-year-old man arrested and held in custody until sober and that ended the problems at that residence.
10:03 p.m. - Noisy party complaint at a residence on 105th Street. Several underage persons consuming alcohol. 15-year-old woman arrested on scene and held in custody until sober.
11:17 p.m. - Report of several unwanted intoxicated persons at a home on 105th Street. 29-year-old man arrested and facing charges of failing to comply with no alcohol conditions. 27-year-old man arrested for mischief, held until sober and released without charges.
11:24 p.m. - 911 call of an erratic driver on 18th Avenue. 22-year-old male driver of the vehicle stopped on 100th Street, arrested and facing charges of impaired driving and driving while over .08.
11:32 p.m. - 18-year-old woman arrested for causing a disturbance on 100th street after call of an intoxicated woman sitting on the street and trying to hitchhike.
11:48 p.m. - Call of an intoxicated man on 18th Avenue, being really annoying and falling all over the house. 52-year-old man arrested for breach of the peace and held in custody until sober.
Tuesday
2:08 a.m. - Two-vehicle collision on 104th Street. 17-year-old driver of one of the vehicles treated and later released from hospital suffering non-serious injuries. Alcohol is suspected to have been a factor in the collision and the investigation is ongoing. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured. Both vehicles were towed from scene.
3:06 a.m. - Report of a stolen vehicle. Vehicle taken by complainant's spouse and so no theft committed.
3:07 a.m. - Report of someone knocking on complainant's door. Subjects left when he did not answer.
5:31 a.m. - Unwanted, intoxicated man at a residence on 109th Street. Subject removed without incident.
6:19 a.m. - 55-year-old man arrested for causing a disturbance by being intoxicated in public, located sleeping off 101st Street.
10:23 a.m. - Report of a four-year-old child missing from residence on Winder Crescent. Search of area completed with assistance of Police Dog Section. Child located at a nearby park and returned home shortly after 11 a.m.
3:20 p.m. - 46-year-old man arrested for public intoxication, found stumbling into traffic on Highway 16 Bypass.
3:23 p.m. - Report of intoxicated person no longer wanted at a residence on 114th Street. Subject removed.
4:52 p.m. - Two-vehicle collision at 25th Avenue and 99th Street. One vehicle sustained significant damage and was towed from scene. One passenger sustained minor injuries but did not require medical attention. Cause remains under investigation.
8:34 p.m. - Report of a possible intoxicated person driving a vehicle on Highway 16 bypass. Vehicle was located parked near area and a 24-year-old woman was arrested and taken into custody. Investigation ongoing.
9:29 p.m. - Report of impaired driver on Railway Avenue East. Vehicle located and driver sober, however, one passenger had outstanding warrants that were executed.
9:33 p.m. - Three youth reported to have ripped a flag off complainant's door on Douglas Avenue. Suspects not located.
10:11 p.m. - Theft of cash reported on Railway Avenue East. Investigation ongoing.
10:14 p.m. - Vehicle parked on 103rd Street sustained damage to passenger window.
11:20 p.m. - Break and enter to a residence on 900 block of 109th Street sometime between 10:30 and 11:20 p.m. Television taken. Suspects identified, matter remains under investigation.
Wednesday
12:03 a.m. - Complainant's adult son intoxicated and damaged a window at a residence on 114th Street then took off.
12:04 a.m. - 19-year-old man arrested and charged with care and control ofa vehicle while impaired and care and control while over .08 after a vehicle check on 104th Street. Has since been released from custody, first court appearance scheduled for July 21.
1:08 a.m. - Complainant reporting her son was almost assaulted on 100th Street. Suspects located a short time later and investigation found that complainant's son was looking to fight but no physical altercation occurred. No charges pursued.
3:00 a.m. - Vehicle broken into on 800 block of 107th Street. Suspect described as an older man dressed all in black. Suspect not located. Nothing reported taken.
3:41 a.m. - Vehicle parked on 1600 block of 105th Street had tire damaged.
4:12 a.m. - Report of two men fighting on 110th Street. One man located on scene, not injured. Did not wish to co-operate with investigation.
4:36 a.m. - Vehicle struck an apartment building on Winder Crescent and driver fled scene on foot. 16-year-old youth located and arrested a short distance away. Youth found to be intoxicated and remains in custody at this time as the investigation is continuing. Numerous charges are pending.
