Battlefords RCMP report that a girl who ran away Tuesday at about 8 p.m. from a care home outing at Don Ross Hill Tuesday has been located.
Originally reported as being 11 years old, the 13-year-old was located safely in North Battleford at about midnight Wednesday when police received information regarding her whereabouts.
RCMP tracked the girl down through persistent checking of leads, according to press releases.
Police credit media involvement and the co-operation of the public as being key to the safe return of the girl to the care home where she has been living.
