Late Monday, Kipling RCMP detachment requestedassistance in locating Harley James Ironside, age 75.
The detachment has advised that Ironside was found at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at the North Portal border crossing in southern Saskatchewan. The RCMP thanks the media and the public for their help in locating the man.
Ironside was last seenleaving his home in Kipling Monday at 2 p.m. At the time he was going to pick up waterand was expected to be gone for only a short time. Ironsidesuffers from Alzheimer's and has become disoriented and lost on previous occasions.
Ironside is described as Caucasian, 6', 250 lbs and heavy set with short grey hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black summer jacket, grey pants, white t-shirt and summer shoes.
He was driving a light brown 2003 Chev Silverado, Saskatchewan licence 260 EHP.His vehicle is believed to have ahalf tank of gas. The RCMP say the family does not know what direction he was travelling.
