A Saskatoon woman who had been reported missing earlier this week has been found dead near Denholm.
RCMP are reporting the body of Dorothy Rodgers was located in the North Saskatchewan River Wednesday at approximately 4 p.m.
Rodgers had been reported missing by her family on June 4 to Saskatoon Police Service.
On June 6 at around 9 p.m., Battlefords RCMP received a call about an abandoned vehicle on a grid road south of Denholm, in close proximity to the North Saskatchewan River.
Investigation at that time revealed that the vehicle belonged to Rodgers.
RCMP search and rescue along with SARSAV, civilian search and rescue, conducted a ground search of the immediate area of the vehicle location. RCMP Under Water Recovery Team was also mobilized, and that team located the body of Rodgers Wednesday.
The family has been notified and an autopsy has been scheduled for this week. The RCMP say they are not considering foul play as a factor, and the investigation is non-criminal in nature.
