Missing person turns up

Between 6 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28 and 6 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, Battlefords RCMP responded to 20 calls for service/occurrences. These included one false alarm and two false/nuisance 911 calls. Saturday 6:19 a.m.

Saturday


6:19 a.m. - Missing person reported, not seen or heard from since Dec. 25. Initial checks negative, complainant later reported making contact with subject who was safe.


1:44 p.m. - Break and enter to a residence on 108th Street. Nothing reported missing, but numerous items damaged/thrown around.


2:35 p.m. - 41-year-old man arrested on 104th Street from warrants out of Saskatoon. Later released for court in New Year.


3:18 p.m. - Intoxicated man reported to be causing a disturbance on Railway Avenue East. Located and arrested a 23-year-old man. Held in custody until sober and facing charges under the Liquor Act.


6:31 p.m. - Minor two-vehicle collision on Battleford Road. No injuries. 


8:04 p.m. - Assault reported at a residence on 101st Street, occurred earlier in the day. No injuries. Investigation ongoing.


8:12 p.m. - Call of discharged firearm on 93rd Street. No other reports made and exhaustive patrols of area negative.


9:48 p.m. - 911 call of unwanted, intoxicated person at a residence on 102nd Street. 53-year-old man arrested for breach of the peace. No charges pursued.


Sunday


12:35 a.m. - Loud party complaint on St Laurent Drive. Warning given. No further complaints received.


3:24 a.m. - Suspicious persons possibly looking into vehicles on Pearson Avenue. Patrols of area negative.


4:35 a.m. - Report of single vehicle collision on Highway 16 Bypass. No one located in or near vehicle. Suspect driver located a short distance away and arrested for public intoxication. Investigation ongoing.


5:44 a.m. - Break and enter to residence on 114th Street. Believed to have occurred between 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. 


Daily Report From Dec. 27


More than 30 calls for service/occurrences were responded to between 6 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17 and 6 a.m. Saturday, Dec 28, including two false alarms and three false/nuisance 911 call.


Friday


6:26 a.m. - Suspicious man knocking at a door to a residence on 103rd Street. Patrols for subject negative.


7:11 a.m. - Two people fighting/arguing at a residence on St. Laurent Drive. A 30-year-old man was arrested for causing a disturbance and found to have warrants for his arrest from an outside agency. Held in custody until sober.


7:12 a.m. - Unwanted/suspicious person near an apartment building on Centennial Crescent. Patrols negative.


8:38 a.m. - 911 call of burglars at a residence on 104th Street, which turned out to be just an intoxicated woman seeing things. Warned about misuse of 911.


11:39 a.m. - Report of a stabbing on 104th Street. Male victim located on scene suffering from single stab wound to chest area. Second man victim on scene suffering from injuries to head/face area from some type of blunt instrument. Both treated at hospital for injuries. Neither victim nor witnesses on scene were co-operative with investigation. Investigation is ongoing.


3:41 p.m. - 77-year-old man arrested and charged with disturbing the peace after report of intoxicated man on 101st Street causing problems.


7:43 p.m. - North Battleford RCMP are investigating an attempted robbery in the area of 17th Avenue and 102nd Street which occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27. The woman victim was walking alone in the area when a man approached her, pushed her down and attempted to steal her purse. There was a brief struggle before witnesses, who noticed the struggle and came to the victim's aid, scared the man off. The victim was not injured in the attack and the suspect did not make off with any of her property. The suspect has been described as aboriginal, wearing all dark clothing with a slim and no facial hair. If anyone has any information on this incident they are requested to call the North Battleford RCMP at 306-446-1720 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.


9:00 p.m. - Disturbance/arguing at residence on 19th Avenue. Members attended and spoke to parties involved. No further reports made.


10:23 p.m. - Report of overdue traveller. Patrols made for subject who later arrived at destination.


11:20 p.m. - Loud music complaint on 107th Street. Warned under municipal bylaw.


Saturday


12:06 a.m. - Intoxicated man causing problems at a residence on 102nd Street. Man calmed down when police called and was allowed to stay. No further complaints received.


5:02 a.m. - 911 call of intoxicated woman causing problems at a residence on 108th Street. Reported to be drunk and in possession of a knife. 34-year-old woman arrested without incident at residence.


5:14 a.m. - Unwanted person knocking at a door on 104th Street. Patrols negative.
