Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of a Monthly Donor Club, A Brighter Tomorrow.

According to a BUHF press release, A Brighter Tomorrow is the opportunity for members of the public to take action every month and join a caring group of people who are committed to enriching health care throughout the year. It allows for BUH Foundation to plan ahead, knowing the support will be there to fulfill their mission of enriching patient care through responsible stewardship of community contributions and volunteer resources, the release explains.

"We are grateful for those people who have been faithful monthly contributors to BUH Foundation thus far and welcome them into the new, official club. We look forward to adding new members and growing the club as we strive to grow better and stronger to enrich patient care at BUH and in Battlefords Region Home Care," says Claudette McGuire, BUH executive director.

Funds raised by BUHF support replacement of out-dated or worn pieces of equipment as well as the purchase of brand new, state-of-the-art equipment that will put BUH and Battlefords Region Home Care at the forefront of technology and enriched patient care, the BUHF release states. It also provides funding for continued staff education.

"I chose to be a monthly donor because I believe in the work of BUH Foundation and the care provided at BUH. By giving, I know that my donation stays in my community and makes a difference to all who pass through the doors of BUH," says Ben Christensen, monthly donor of BUHF since 2005.

"By supporting our hospital we strengthen our entire community."

BUHF says there are many benefits to joining A Brighter Tomorrow beyond the satisfaction of giving back to the community and ensuring that high quality care continues to be available to patients and their families. It also provides an opportunity to receive updates on the latest happenings and equipment purchases, personal invitations to foundation events, and an annual "members only" private reception/tour with hospital and foundation personnel.
