Mosquito First Nation businesses targeted

Battlefords RCMP responded to approximately 40 occurrences betweem 6 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2.

Tuesday, Nov. 1

9:15 a.m. – Two-vehicle collision at intersection of Battleford Road and 110th Street. The driver of a southbound vehicle has been charged with proceeding from a stop sign before safe. One vehicle had to be towed from the scene due to severe damage. No serious injuries were reported.

10:50 a.m. - Report of a stolen vehicle from the 1400 block of 114th Street. Vehicle was later recovered and suspect identified. Matter remains under investigation and charges are still pending.

4:54 p.m. - Break and enter to a residence near Cochin, believed to have occurred between 8:30 a.m. and 3:40 p.m. Some property reported stolen including a guitar. 

Wednesday, Nov. 2

3:03 a.m. - Break and enter to a business on the Mosquito First Nation. Culprit(s) gained entry and stole a still undetermined amount of property. Matter remains under investigation.

3:49 a.m. - Report of damage to a business on the Red Pheasant First Nation. Culprit(s) appear to have rammed into the building with a vehicle. Incident is believed to be related to the break and enter reported on the Mosquito First Nation earlier.

Police arrested four persons for alcohol/minor disturbance offence and responded to two false/nuisance 911 calls, four traffic incidents, three child welfare complaints, eight minor disturbances and responded to four alarms.
