The fraud case against five leading Mosquito First Nation band officials, including the ex-chief, will return to provincial court June 10.

Former chief Noel Stone, Jr. along with Milton Oxebin, Elbert Pahsaknunk, Anderson Moosomin and Derrick Graham, are charged in connection to alleged fraud connected to the band election on Mosquito First Nation in 2011.

Moosomin faces a forgery charge; the others face charges of fraud and disobeying a statute under the Criminal Code.

In provincial court Monday, lawyer Tanner Daniels, acting for Stone and Oxebin, indicated to Judge Dan O'Hanlon that he had received disclosure in the case and that more was on the way.

He asked for and was granted a June 10 return date to North Battleford Provincial Court. The plan is for the cases of all five to stay together.

Graham, Pahsaknunk and Moosomin were present in court Monday. Graham indicated he was retaining Saskatoon lawyer Nicholas Stooshinoff in the case. Pahsaknunk said he is still in the process of obtaining counsel. Moosomin said he had retained Bill Archer from Legal Aid and that a meeting with him was scheduled for June 13.
