A man is wanted after an assault in a rural area on Little Pine First Nation sent a stabbing victim to hospital via STARS Ambulance Sutrday at about 4 a.m. Monday.
Cut Knife RCMP say Nakota Rayne Pooyak, 23, of Sweetgrass First Nation is wanted on a charge of aggravated assault.
The 23-year-old male victim is from Poundmaker First Nation, and police report he suffered multiple stab wounds.
Pooyak has not yet been located by police who are actively looking for him.
The Cut Knife RCMP are requesting the public's assistance in locating the suspect. The suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached if spotted.
