The game got off to a slow start for the Mustangs as they gave up the game’s first goal just 2:19 into the first period.

The game remained 1-0 for nearly 30 minutes before the Mustangs finally got on the board as Colin Schmidt scored his tenth of the year.

Carson Albrecht matched Schmidt with his tenth of the year less than five minutes later as the Mustangs took their first lead of the game.

The visitors would extend their lead to two goals just before the end of the second period thanks to Reed Gunville’s third goal of the season, and first in 13 games.

Rock Ruschkowski added a third period marker for the Mustangs who won for the fourth time in their last five games.
