Nasty weather keeps things quiet

Between 6 a.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Battlefords RCMP attended to just 20 calls. Police say, cold weather and snow kept everything quiet for the most part. There were a number of non serious collisions in the city.

Between 6 a.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Battlefords RCMP attended to just 20 calls.


Police say, cold weather and snow kept everything quiet for the most part. There were a number of non serious collisions in the city. A total of five traffic collisions were reported in total inside the city throughout the day and evening. RCMP are reminding everyone to slow down as road conditions remain slippery. Five alarm calls responded to as well, all confirmed to be false.


Monday


10:35 a.m. - 56-year-old male from North Battleford arrested and charged with mischief after a report of two cars being keyed in a parking lot on the 1000 block of 107th Street.


11:16 a.m. - Hit and run reported. Occurred approximately 5:30 p.m. Nov. 2 on 13th Avenue. Parked vehicle sustained damage. No suspect vehicle description available.


11:25 a.m. - Report of two overdue travellers possibly in the area. Subjects located safe and sound later in the afternoon.


4:00 p.m. - 65-year-old male arrested for public intoxication after complaint of male causing a disturbance at a business downtown.


6:00 p.m.- Report of an unwanted guest at a residence on Diefenbaker Drive. Subject left voluntarily prior to police arrival.
