A North Battleford man, driving a truck stolen from Maidstone, has been arrested by the Ontario Provincial Police outside of Thunder Bay, Ont.
Justin Chaisson, 20, was arrested after a pursuit involving OPP officers Jan. 25. Chaisson has been charged for possession of stolen property, theft, breach of probation, public mischief, and flight from a police officer.
Lloydminster (Rural)/Maidstone RCMP, who had been identified as a person of interest in connection to the vehicle theft continue with their investigation and will be laying theft chargesagainst Chaisson.
The RCMP remind the motoring public to either turn off their vehicles when left unattended or use a remote car starter system. The public should also exercise caution when leaving valuables in plain view in order to deter thieves.
