NIPAWIN — A new physician is coming to Nipawin.
Dr. Akinwunmi Akinwuntan will provide services with the Nipawin Medi-Clinic effective May 21. He is originally from Ile-Ife in Nigeria. He received his family medicine training at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He also completed his post-graduate training and a master’s degree at the University of Ibadan.
Akinwuntan has over 18 combined years of experience in the healthcare sector.
“We are very pleased to be welcoming Dr. Akinwuntan and his family to Nipawin and the Nipawin Medi-Clinc. Dr. Akinwuntan will be a great addition to the health care team in Nipawin,” said Dr. Jordan Wingate, chief of staff for the Northeast for the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
Akinwuntan comes to Nipawin with his wife Bukkie, son Tomi and daughter Toni.
