They acquired the vehicle in September from Bridges Chev in North Battleford to replace the one they had before. The organization was able to make the purchase thanks to $30,000 funding help from BATC and the vehicle has fast become a familiar sight for youth who use the outreach service provided by Concern for Youth.

A new vehicle has become a familiar sight for those using the services of Battlefords Concern for Youth.

The organization has acquired a new Chevrolet Orlando from Bridges Chevrolet Buick GMC, thanks to a generous donation from Battlefords Agency Tribal Chiefs. They provided $30,000 to Concern for Youth for the new vehicle.

The Chevy Orlando has been in use since September and replaces the well-used vehicle they had before.

A vehicle is vital to the outreach work done by Concern for Youth in the community. The outreach workers are able to drive the Concern for Youth vehicle around the community after school. Any youth can flag the vehicle down if they need food or help, or even a ride home.

The outreach workers can also be contacted by cellphone by youth who might be seeking help finding a job or just need someone to talk to.

The new white vehicle is fast becoming a familiar sight to those who use the Concern for Youth service in the Battlefords.

"All the youth are pretty familiar now with our new van and logo," said Nicole Fidelak, the new executive director for Concern for Youth, who started last month.

"The logo is bright red so you really can't miss it on a white vehicle."
