THE BATTLEFORDS - It is a Happy New Year for a family from Witchekan Lake First Nation who have welcomed a newborn baby girl.
Aleena Clara Jenny Harris was born at Battlefords Union Hospital Jan. 1 at 2:32 p.m. according to Saskatchewan Health Authority. She weighs 9 lbs 5 oz. The parents are Renata Quinney and Raymon Harris of Witchekan Lake First Nation.
The parents have issued this statement:
"A special thanks to our parents and friends for their support. We would also like to thank the BUH for their hospitality, Dr. Nault and Dr. Chong, and the numerous nurses. Your work and kindness is appreciated."
