Humboldt's New Year's Baby of 2013 made her debut last week.
Amiya Marie Washburn was born to Dana Hobbs and Jerry Washburn of Lanigan at the Humboldt District Hospital (HDH) at 6:57 p.m. on January 3.
The tiny little girl was a week overdue but weighed just six pounds, 11 ounces and was 20 inches long at birth.
This is the couple's first baby, and it was clear from how they spoke about her that they are completely smitten with their little bundle of joy.
The delivery went quickly, they reported. Hobbs was induced in the morning, but once labour got going, it took just four hours for Amiya to make her appearance.
